This way the Bose QuietComfort 15 is able to constantly measure these 2 sounds making it an easy task to enhance the kinds of sounds on the inside and therefore actively reduce the kinds of sounds that are on the outside with advanced technology inside the ear cup that produces a cancelling signal to cancel out the outside noise. This continuous comparison and reaction effectively reduces noise like never before.

Passive Technology

Passive technology is based on the physical design of the Bose QuietComfort 15. Learnings from previous Bose QC products have assisted in coming up with a new and improved design in ear cushion technology on the ear cup to physically prevent sound from entering the cup blocking more sound than ever before.

• Compared to the predecessor the Bose QuietComfort 15 makes a loud click when turned on
• When the noise blocking is activated there is a feeling of pressure on the ear and long periods can make the ears hot
• Because of the sheer size of the Bose QuietComfort 15, this is not for being mobile, but rather for sitting down.
