At first glance, headphone set is strikingly elegant and stylish. They are a rich black color and although they fit over the ear, they are quite thin and have a low profile. They wear comfortably with cushioning throughout. An excellent feature that Sony has included is the ability to turn the noise cancelling on and off. This unique feature allows you to use the headphones with multimedia devices and still hear the surrounding environment when necessary. The built-in monitor button allows you to hear surrounding sound without removing the headphones. This is excellent if you need to hear travel announcements, if you’re gaming but still want to talk to friends, or when you need to pay attention to the office around you.
The sound quality is excellent, the bass is powerful even when the NC feature is turned off. The NC feature works well, reducing approximately 85% of ambient noise. If you travel or work frequently in noisy environments such as planes, trains, buses or even if you are in a crowded dorm room these are a great fit. An included plug adapter connects right to a stereo and even the dual jack of in-flight services. Portable, the Sony MDR-NC60 has a slim carrying case and runs off a single AAA battery. Another great feature is the ability to disconnect the wire to prevent crimping and shorting when storing the headphones. This also means they can be used to keep distractions at a minimum when reading or just working in the office without a wire hanging from the headphones.
If you would like to buy the Sony MDR-NC60, I suggest you get it from Amazon because they have the cheapest price online.

| “I was very impressed with these headphones as a whole. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for over-ear active noice cancelling headphones.Out of the package, these headphones look great. Glossy black earcups with some slight sliver accents. They are pretty large earcups, but they are not overly heavy, and all of the leather is soft and supple (around the cups, and the headband)~~……..
……….My advice to anyone considering these headphones- DO NOT buy them at a store, get them online. I originally purchased these headphones at Best Buy so I could see if they were really what I wanted- which they absolutely were- but I came home to find that after paying over $200 at Best Buy, Amazon had them for around $110. I returned them immediately and picked them up from J&R thru Amazon.” |
